You can configure ViewPoint to forward your voicemail messages to one or more email addresses. This allows you to receive voicemail notifications (with or without audio attachments) directly in your email inbox.
Open the ViewPoint software on your computer and log in to your mailbox.
From the top menu, click Tools → Options.
Select the Email Notifications tab.
Under After receiving a message, notify me via e-mail, choose one of the following:
Do not send e-mail notifications – disables forwarding.
Send e-mail for all messages – forwards every voicemail.
Send e-mail for Urgent messages only – forwards only urgent voicemails.
Send e-mail for all missed calls and messages – forwards both voicemail and missed call notices.
In the E-mail address(es) box, enter one or more addresses. Separate multiple addresses with a comma.
Under attachment options, choose how voicemail audio files should be handled:
Do not attach voice message – sends a notification only.
Attach voice message – includes a .wav file copy of the voicemail.
Attach voice message and mark as already heard – includes the file and marks the message heard in ViewPoint.
Attach voice message and delete from inbox – includes the file and removes the message from ViewPoint.
Click OK to save your settings.
If you enter multiple addresses, all recipients will receive the message at the same time.
Forwarded voicemails come from your wave server: wavenow, wavenor, or wavenoe@pioneerlibrarysystem.org. If you don’t see them, check your junk/spam folder.
Unless you choose “delete from inbox,” messages remain in your ViewPoint mailbox until you delete them.
Audio attachments are standard .wav files, which can be played in most email clients and media players.
