What is the 24L?
A self-service kiosk that allows patrons to pick up and return library materials outside of staffed hours.

Customers may select 24L machines as their hold pickup location, and each machine has a small browsing collection of items which is rotated periodically.

Daily tasks are handled by circulation and delivery staff. PLS Technology handles troubleshooting and repairs. Technology may escalate to EnvisionWare for further support.

Common staff tasks include:
  • Loading hold/returned items
  • Clearing the return bins
  • Removing expired holds
  • Basic Troubleshooting
  • Retrieving items when the machine can't dispense items

There are six 24L locations:

  • NOW
  • NOE
  • Gray Street (Norman)
  • Reaves Park (Norman)
  • Vicksburg (Norman)
  • Shawnee Homeland
