You can use ViewPoint to forward calls from your desk extension to another extension or to an outside number (such as a cell phone).
Open the ViewPoint app on your computer and log in to your mailbox.
From the top menu, click Tools → Call Forwarding.
In the Call Forwarding window:
Select On: (enter or select a number below).
To forward to another staff extension, click the Extensions tab and select a name/extension from the list.
To forward to an outside number (such as your cell phone), click the My Numbers tab.
Select an existing entry or click the pencil icon to edit/create a number.
Enter the full 10-digit number, including area code. (The system will auto-add a leading “1” if needed.)
Click OK to save.
⚠️ Important: Forwarding remains active even if you close ViewPoint, but it will automatically turn off the next time you log back into ViewPoint.
You can also set forwarding directly from your desk phone:
Press the Voicemail or # button on the phone, or dial 550.
If prompted, enter your 3-digit extension.
Enter your voicemail PIN.
Follow the voicemail prompts to set up call forwarding.
Forwarding reroutes calls from your extension to another number.
On your cell phone, forwarded calls will appear as coming from the Wave system — not the original caller’s number.
Forwarding does not give you Wave features like transferring calls or caller ID details for the original caller.
Tip: If you want forwarding to remain active even after logging into ViewPoint again, set up a Call Rule instead of using the Call Forwarding option. Call Rules are server-based and stay active until you disable them. See Setting Up Call Rules for more details.
