Workflows - Report Formatting Issues and Setting Default Programs for Workflows Reports

Workflows can be set to open reports using specific programs. If these options aren’t set, the reports may have formatting issues or be opened as HTML files in your default web browser and will not be formatted at all.

The options to adjust the default programs are found under Reports -> Report Session:

Default programs can be set by selecting the icon at the end of the field:

Navigate to and select the desired Program’s EXE file.

The filepath will be listed in the field.

This path can be copied and pasted to other fields as needed.

It is common to set the first to options, Application to view reports and print reports to Wordpad. The second two options, viewing XML and XLS reports are commonly set to Excel.
